“Oak Leaf” - Painting on canvas using acrylics. Mixing tints and tones of two complimentary colors on the color wheel with a focus on design elements such as size, shape and composition.
“Butterfly” - Linoleum mixed-media print with watercolors and ink. Exploring the elements for Astrology: Earth, Air, Water and Fire. The butterfly represents air, the motifs inside represent fire and water, and the weightiness of the linoleum block represents earth.
“Right person, wrong time” - Creating a “drip” like effect on one side of the face to express a sorrowful mood. Materials used: face paint palette, shadow (shimmer, matte, mild), and basic foundation.
“BOOB” - Primary color typography print. Using homemade foam/cardboard stamps and acrylics. The paint was mixed with a medium to make it more transparent so colors overlap and combine. Also focused on design elements such as shape, space and balance.
Color study with liquid watercolor and acrylics. Mixing neutral colors with a few pops of brighter color, mark-making to add texture, then more opaque acrylics on top. Inspired by artist Laura Horn.

“Yellow + Purple” - Inspired by Oak Leaf painting using complimentary colors. Creating an ombre effect from the inner eye to the edge of the brow. Materials used: Sephora pro palette, Fenty Beauty to set face, and seamless Lancôme foundation
“Sisters” - Mixed-media collage. Made using photographs, magazine pages, origami technique, string, mini clothespins, tape, and acrylic paint.
“Mom and Dad” - Blind contour drawings. Made with black Sharpie and liquid watercolors. The color purposefully bleeds into each other. Using dark, more muted colors with some brighter to create the affect of light.
Gelatin printing with analogous colors. Made using leaves, paper circles, and tempera paint. The layers reveal the colors underneath and the graphic quality of the negative and positive space.
“Autumn"“ - Using orange / reddish undertones with a pop of green to bring out the eyes. Materials used: Sephora pro palette, face paint, Fenty Beauty to set face, and seamless Lancôme foundation. Model: Ashlyn.
